schwannoma ( RID4473 ) This is a proven schwannoma of the medial plantar nerve. I could not see convincing continuity with the nerve, though it does occur along the course of the MPN. For this reason I favored nerve sheath tumor but included synovial sarcoma in the differential and requested follow-up. Trauma history is irrelevant.
